Verse

There's an invisible thread of fate
That ties me to this space!
Doesn't matter if I am present
Or musing on the screen
Punching the keys away,
Like possessed
Or if I am ruminating
In my mental altar
About the traffic that faded
In the lanes of the neighborhood,
Adjacent to the elementary school.
There's something about roads
Sans people, automobiles and bikes
With trees standing still
Like witnesses to the quiet.
Emptiness is an emotion
Akin to peace
Says my pseudo spiritual backside
Tying everything to the vacuum
And wondering if being nothing
And doing nothing is a virtue
That isn't, but is trying to be.
