Day 13 - M is for Misplaced.

Musical stream of crystal waters
Meeting the mighty ocean,
Mountains high and giant,
Mating the intense clouds.
Myriad of colorful blooms
Mixing with Muggy brown mud,
Melting fragrant wax,
Mingling with the flare of light,
Misty dew drops, snuggling with leaves,
Maple syrup soaking, moist pan cakes,
Mint ice-cream with chocolate chips...
Many pairs, blissfully united,
March hand in hand,
Medley of thoughts, forming the
Mosaic of expression,
Manifest into sundry designs,
Mundane images materialize into
Magical depictions - But
Merging with melancholy
My verse gets misty,
Missing your mellow touch, O
Mysterious emotion!
Motivate the muffled deliberation,
Muted in numb silence,
Mask this mayhem with your
Merry revelation.

  2. All your favorite things with that touch of melancholy at the end ...yet once again getting back to a merry epiphany ...read like "These are a few of my favorite things" from Sound of Music with your very special touch :)

    1. Hmm...another way of looking at it Sri - I wanted to write something else and then suddenly the word 'mayhem' came up in the mind - I was so desperate to use it, so took a detour, and ended it that way ;-) Now don't ask me what I wanted to write about :-P

    1. Roshni - are you sure it is lovely? LOL hodgepodge happens when you are clueless/desperate. BTW, have you ever figured out mint choco chip icecream? Personally, I think it is the weirdest marriage! :-)

    1. It was more of a mortifying experience for me Suzy, but as always, you all congregate to convince me otherwise. Eternally grateful for your love and support, if anything, it is all this applause that keeps me going :)

    1. It varies Shilpa, usually, the ideas take longer to come by, but when inspiration strikes, it comes out pretty easily. Often times, I get tempted to use some other words which don't start with the theme letter to keep the emotion flowing well...but this pattern pushes my limits, in a good way, I realized after coming along this far - otherwise, I have only a handful of words that I seem to repeat in all my works.

  12. Every day your poems manage the impossible, as they string together "mundane images" and transform them into "magical depictions."
